Associate Marriage & Family Therapist, AMFT
We are products of our experiences in life and the specific set of values and expectations that we acquire or learn from our family, society, and the world we live in. As a therapist, my philosophy revolves around hearing, validating, and giving the utmost attention to these unique experiences by creating a safe non-judgmental therapeutic environment that fosters the opportunity to explore, repair, and heal from all aspects of life wounds.
I have a bachelor’s degree in science and master’s degrees in analytical chemistry and Marriage and Family Therapy. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry, intellectual property as a patent administrator, I also worked as a linguist with our troops in the middle east, and I am a veteran of the United States Army. I chose to become a therapist after witnessing the traumatic experiences that my fellow service members went through, I believe that life becomes extremely resourceful when we exit the realm of the self and support each other in turning our problems into opportunities for growth. I love working with individuals, couples and families where I could utilize various therapeutic modalities including Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Family Systems such as Structural and Bowen Therapy.
Taking the first step into therapy requires a lot of courage, strength, and determination. I want to thank you for trusting me to be part of your therapeutic journey and I will constantly strive to prioritize your goals and what is important to you.
