Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#148997) and Part-Time Instructor in the Child and Adolescent Development Department at CSUN. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
I have experience providing mental health counseling to children, teens, adults, and groups struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, relationship issues, bullying, poverty, and family incarceration at the Free Clinic of Simi Valley. I also have experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence as a State-Certified Sexual Assault Advocate at Strength United.
I am especially passionate about working with children and adolescents, utilizing play therapy, sand-tray, and expressive art interventions. My focus is on guiding and empowering individuals, children, adolescents, and families, utilizing a client-centered, strengths-based approach, instilling hope, building a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space and working collaboratively with clients to meet their unique goals and needs.
